Canadiens Head Coach Will Be Stepping Away From The NHL Indefinitely
Hours before the Montreal Canadiens were set to begin their western swing against the Calgary Flames, news broke that head coach Martin St. Louis would not be behind the bench. Citing personal matters, St. Louis has headed back home.
Family matters call St. Louis away
The Canadiens find themselves without their leader, Martin St. Louis, who has stepped away for family-related reasons. In his absence, associate coach Trevor Letowski will step up as interim head coach, guiding the team until St. Louis can rejoin the squad.
The team made it official with a brief announcement:
«The #habs announce that Martin St. Louis will be away from the team for family reasons. Assistant coach Trevor Letowski will take over during his absence.»
Our thoughts are with the Canadiens' head coach during this time.
