Evander Kane Accuses Player Of Trying To Intentionally Cut Him With Skate
The Edmonton Oilers and the Minnesota Wild clashed on Friday night in what turned out to be an intense game, reaching a boiling point in the late stages. Now, it seems an Edmonton Oilers forward is leveling accusations of intent to injure.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Evander Kane made it clear that Ryan Hartman purposefully dragged his skate over Kane's face.
Kane stated, "dragged a skate over my face on purpose" when addressing the play in question.
While Kane is known for stirring things up in the media, watching the video does show Hartman bringing his skate across Kane's face. The question remains: was Hartman intentionally trying to hurt Kane after a big hit? It's not entirely clear, but given Hartman's track record, it does sound like something he might consider, at the very least.
