Columbus Blue Jackets draft pick Jordan Dumais, celebrated for his standout junior career, is set to appear in court this April facing two charges stemming from a DUI incident.

Dumais, who clinched last year's MVP title in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) while playing for the Halifax Mooseheads, is scheduled for his court appearance in Nova Scotia on April 9.

Last season, Dumais dazzled with 140 points over 64 games for the Mooseheads. This year, limited by an injury, he has played only 21 games but still managed to score 16 goals and tally up 47 points. While Dumais has yet to make his regular-season debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets since being drafted in the third round in 2022, he turned heads with a remarkable overtime goal during the preseason with Columbus.
