Colorado Avalanche Place 24-Year Old On Waivers Just After 11 Games In The NHL
While the National Hockey League took a pause over the weekend with no actual games, business continued as usual for teams amid the All-Star festivities.
On Saturday, the Colorado Avalanche made significant roster moves, sending a player to the waiver wire.
In the case of the Colorado Avalanche, 24-year-old goaltender Ivan Prosvetov found himself on waivers after 11 games with the team this season. This move hints at potential longer-term decisions. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Avalanche are considering giving goaltender Justus Annunen an opportunity, possibly indicating that Prosvetov is bound for a stint with the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles.
Prosvetov posted a 3.16 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage during his 11 appearances for the Avalanche.
