Milan Lucic has yet to be cleared from the NHL player's assistance program following his domestic violence case in which he allegedly hurt his wife during an altercation.

As a result, Lucic cannot play any NHL hockey. However, there are all sorts of rumors flying around about him wanting to make a comeback. Moreover, it was recently stated that one of the teams that could welcome him back, would be the Vancouver Canucks.
However, Thomas Drance and Rick Dhaliwal have poured cold water on those rumors. As you can see in the Instagram post below from The Mug NHL, it is clear that the Canucks have no interest in Lucic whatsoever. Given his past and his current NHL production levels, it should come as no surprise that a team on the rise would want to stay the hell away.

"According to a report from Thomas Drance & Rick Dhaliwal, the Vancouver Canucks have NOT shown any interest in forwards Nick Cousins or Milan Lucic, who are looking to resume their NHL careers for the 2024-25 season.

The Canucks recently rewarded a PTO to Sammy Blais, but they also considered giving one to forward Jujhar Khaira, but ultimately decided against it."

Do you think Milan Lucic would have been good on the Vancouver Canucks? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
