Marc-Andre Fleury continues to shatter NHL records, and he's done it again today by playing in the second-most NHL games as a goaltender in the league.
Flower passes Roberto Luongo to take sole possession of second place on the all-time games played list for goalies.
He passed Patrick Roy earlier in the season to take third on the list, joining a long list of achievements. Fleury now stands in second place to only Martin Brodeur for games played (1,266) and wins (691).
In his 1,045 games with the Penguins, Golden Knights, Blackhawks, and Wild, Fleury has gone 572-336-97 with a.912 save percentage, a 2.60 goals-against average, and 76 shutouts.
His playoff vitae is not to be outdone, as he boasts 92 victories in 169 games, three Stanley Cups (2009, 2016, 2017), and a Final appearance with Vegas in 2018.
A first-round draft choice of Pittsburgh back in 2003, Fleury won the 2020-21 Vezina Trophy with the Vegas Golden Knights, posting a 26-10-0 record with a.928 save percentage and 1.96 GAA. At age 40, he's 11-6-1 this season with a.910 save percentage and 2.57 GAA.
