Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith breaks her silence following his tragic death

Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau were killed by a drunk driver in Salem, New Jersey on Thursday night while they were riding their bikes.

Sean Higgins is currently facing 20 years in prison for driving under the influence and death by auto. While everyone is hoping for justice, it doesn't help bring back the lives that were lost way too soon. Fans are in mourning, and of course, so is the Gaudreau family. What makes this loss that much more devastating is the fact that Johnny and Matthew's sister was set to get married this weekend. Moreover, Johnny is a father of two and a husband to his wife Meredith.

This morning, Meredith broke her silence with a devastating Instagram post. Below, you can see that she posted numerous photos of Gaudreau with his children. Moreover, she left a heartwrenching caption that speaks to what an amazing father Gaudreay truly was. She even noted that she and her children intend to make Johnny Hockey proud.

"The absolute best dad in the world. So caring and loving. The best partner to go through parenthood with. John never missed a single appointment. Was the best at putting the baby to sleep and the Apple of Noa's eye. I love how much she looks like him. We are going to make you proud. We love you so so so much daddy"
