Matthew Gaudreau and Johnny Gaudreau passed away late last night in Salem, New Jersey while on a bicycle ride.

They were hit by a drunk driver by the name of Sean Higgins, who is now facing 20 years in prison on charges of driving under the influence and death by auto. Overall, this is a horrific tragedy and there are so many lives that have been affected as a result.
For instance, Matthew's wife Madeline was expecting her first child later this year. In fact, she is expecting on December 31st of this year. Now, her first-born child will grow up without a father. To make things easier on Madeline and her unborn child, a GoFundMe has been created. So far, $202,000 has been raised for Madeline.
The Gaudreau family put out a statement today in which they touched on the tragedy. You can tell from these words just how beloved the two brothers were. Everyone they touched was inspired by their light.
"Last night we lost two husbands, two fathers, two sons, two brothers ... two friends, but truly two amazing humans. We want to let everyone know we are receiving your messages and love and support. We appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers. We ask for your continued privacy during this very difficult period of grief."

For those of you who want to donate to the GoFundMe: you can do so right here. Our heart goes out to Madeline and the rest of the Gaudreau family during this horrific time. We hope that they get the support they need to get through this.
