Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau tragically passed away last week while riding their bicycles near their hometown of Salem, New Jersey.

Their sister Katie was supposed to get married over the weekend, and the family ultimately canceled the event. Overall, this has proven to be a massive tragedy. It's unfathomable to imagine such a devastating loss for both the Gaudreau family and the hockey world. Miraculously, the Gaudreau family has been staying strong throughout all of this, and you have to give them credit for that.

Last night, the family put out a lengthy statement in which they thanked the hockey community for their overwhelming support. It was a beautifully written letter and it just goes to show the power of this sport. We hope the support continues for weeks, months, and even years to come.

Multiple tributes are taking place today. There will be a candlelight vigil in Columbus. Meanwhile, Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens has changed his number from 22 to 13.

Our heart goes out to the Gaudreau family during this incredibly difficult time. We cannot imagine what they are going through right now. Having said that, it is great to see the community stand behind them.

If you want to donate to the GoFundMe for Madeline Gaudreau, you can do so right here. So far, it has raised a total of $580,000.
