Florida Panthers target Jacob Trouba early after Game 3 elbow
Rangers in New York Jacob Trouba's elbow on Florida Panthers Evan Rodrigues may still be on the minds of everyone early on in game four of the Eastern Conference final between the Panthers and Rangers as tensions were high very early on in the first period from Sunrise Tuesday night.
It's true that if Rodrigues' head hadn't been down, he probably could have avoided getting hit as hard, but Trouba's play was careless. However, it was encouraging to see that Rodrigues was not feeling the consequences and that, in fact, he was grinning at Trouba during a brief, little scuffle that started the session on Tuesday night.
The enthusiasm has been high, and that is probably a key to what it will take to win the series, so it is important to recognize and accept that both teams will probably need to tow the line a little in order to gain the advantage.
It will be fascinating to watch how each team gradually wears down the other as they advance into the later stages of Game 4. As usual, this series could ultimately be won by the person who maintains the best health and endurance.
