Corey Perry caught with his head down by Joe Pavelski
In the first period of tonight's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars, Corey Perry had his night ended by a huge hit from Joe Pavelski.
Joe Pavelski is exerting every effort to win the Stanley Cup for the first time. To set the tone for his squad tonight, the seasoned forward chose to be more physical. Pavelski saw an opening to finish a hit in the opening period and he grabbed it. .
After Perry cleared the puck Pavelski delivered a huge hit that sent Perry awkwardly to the ice. Perry was clearly shaken and slow to his feet as he headed directly to the locker room.
Corey Perry has gone to the Oilers room after taking a hit from Joe Pavelski.
Perry did not return immediately for the second period, but the Oilers have not released a statement on Perry's status for the rest of the game.
Minutes into the second after Ryan Nugent-Hopkins made the score 2-0, Perry returned.
