NHL DoPS announces whether Rasmus Andersson wil face hearing for hit on Patrik Laine
Last night the Calgary Flames faced off against the Columbus Blue Jackets. With just seconds remaining in the game, Rasmus Andersson lost his temper and threw an incredibly dirty hit.
Down 3-1 and with the Blue Jackets clearing the zone as the last seconds ticked off the clock, Andersson left his feet and launched himself into the head of Laine.
Now the Department of Player Safety has made an announcement on the hit.
Calgary's Rasmus Andersson will have a hearing today for Elbowing/Charging Columbus'
Patrik Laine.
This hit will definitely result in a suspension and given the circumstances should likely result in a lengthy one. When a player leaves his feet to throw a high hit it often results in at least 3 games.
Only time will tell though what Parros suspension wheel decides.
