Patrice Bergeron announced his retirement just days ago, and now it's more bad news for the Boston Bruins. Yesterday came word that another member of the team has reached his decision on whether he will play next season.

According to the most recent reports, David Krejci is expected to soon announce his retirement.
"Per an NHL source, longtime #NHLBruins center David Krejci will announce his retirement from the NHL and hockey in general 'very soon' but could still represent Czechia in the 2024 World Championships." - Jimmy Murphy
This may not come as a surprise, but Krejci's retirement creates a much larger hole for the Bruins that won't be easy to fill. Like Bergeron, Krejci contributed offensively in 2022-23, scoring 16 goals and 56 points.
Krejci previously took the 2020-21 season off from playing in the NHL. Instead he opted to play in the top-tier Czech league to be closer to family.
Krejci, 37, has played 1032 regular season games and 160 games in the playoffs. He won a Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011, and has won bronze medals with Czechia at both the World Juniors and World Hockey championships.
