When the Arizona Coyotes drafted John Farinacci they did so with high hopes. However, Farinacci after playing out his entire NCAA career he decided to go a different route.
Farinacci finished his time at Harvard University of the NCAA and decided to wait out his contract and become an unrestricted free agent. The choice to not sign in Arizona did not surprise anyone. Today Farinacci signed a two-year deal to begin his NHL career.
The Boston Bruins made the following announcement via their Twitter page just moments ago.
The #NHLBruins have signed John Farinacci to a two-year entry-level deal contract.
Farinacci had the opportunity to sign with whoever he wanted but ultimately decided on Boston due to the lack of center depth. The Bruins gave him a serious chance at making the NHL sooner rather than later.
