The Vegas Golden Knights have already traded a member of their Stanley Cup winning team this summer, sending Reilly Smith to Pittsburgh. Now, there are rumours circulating that Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault could be the team's latest cap casualty.

We know that the Boston Bruins have been absolutely gutted this summer, losing Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci to retirement, a number of important players to free agency and Taylor Hall via trade. Could the Bruins be making a push for Marchessault in an attempt to maintain their status as a contender in the East? Hockey Buzz seems to think so.

Marchessault has one year left on his contract, which carries a cap hit of $5M. He was a huge part of their championship run, scoring 13 goals and adding 12 assists for a total of 25 points in just 22 games.
Marchessault was on TVA Sports this summer and shared his feelings on the lack lack of contract extension talks
"The Golden Knights like to take their time with that."

Will the 33-year-old be moved this summer, just a couple of months after hoisting the Cup and winning a Conn Smythe Trophy? It's certainly possible. However, with the source of this information being a rumour site, we should probably take this one with a grain of salt until more solid reporting confirms this rumour.
