Chicago Blackhawks Claim Surprising Player Off Waivers
Wednesday afternoon brought a surprise turn of events in the National Hockey League, as the Chicago Blackhawks made a waiver claim.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman delivered the news, disclosing that the Blackhawks have secured 31-year-old defenseman Jaycob Megna from the Seattle Kraken.
Friedman straightforwardly reported,
"Blackhawks claim Megna from Seattle."
Megna's 2023-24 season has been low-key, with minimal appearances, just two games with Seattle's AHL affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. In this brief stint, he notched one goal and holds a plus-three rating.
