Sidney Crosby delivers ominous message amid Penguins contract drama
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins are currently working on a contract, however, it appears as though nothing has come to fruition as of yet.
As we reported yesterday, fans expected a contract announcement on Sid's birthday, August 7th. However, it never came. Instead, it is now being reported that Crosby is out and about in his home province of Nova Scotia.
Recently, he was in the town of Wallace, where he went to a gas station. As the establishment wrote on Facebook, the employee did not know who he was. However, Crosby was ready to make sure everyone knew he had stopped by. Below, you can see that he left a tip so that his total spending was $87.87.
"It's no secret that Sidney Crosby spends some of his off season time in his home province of NS! It seems he's also spending some of that time in Wallace/Fox Harbr. The lucky Sheena Bennett served him at the store this morning when he filled up at the pumps. She didn't get a picture (she had no idea it was him..heheuntil another customer filled her in) but he still left a little something behind so we'd know it was him!"
Considering the news surrounding Crosby, this does feel a tad ominous. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out over the coming weeks and even months.
