According to Jesse Courville-Lynch of The Mug NHL on Instagram there appears to be new information surrounding Stan Bowman and his desires for his team. As it turns out, the team is looking towards the Nashville Predators. Who on the Predators, you may ask? Well, look no further than former first-overall picks Philip Tomasino and Dante Fabbro.
Both are solid defensemen who have some offensive upside. Fabbro had 13 points in 56 games last season while Tomasino had 20 points in 41 games. If both of them were to stay healthy, then they could most definitely be solid contributors to an Edmonton team that just got rid of defenseman Cody Ceci.
Only time will tell whether or not the Oilers decide to pull the trigger on this deal. After all, they will need to find the proper pieces to make it happen, and we're sure Nashville is going to make them pay. Either way, the Oilers are from done with their offseason maneuvers.
