Dale Hawerchuk is a legend of the NHL who captivated Winnipeg Jets fans and to this day, proves to be one of the best players to ever don their jersey.

Outside of the Canada Life Centre, Hawerchuk got his very own statue. Overall, it is a well-deserved honor considering everything he did for that franchise. He is a legend in the city, and you can never go wrong honoring those who meant a lot to the people.
Unfortunately, someone did not get the message about Hawerchuk and his legendary status. As you can see down below, someone tagged the bottom of his statue with pink writing. On the puck, they wrote "1999" while leaving their signature tag right next to it.
These kinds of incidents are becoming more and more common. Some people just lack respect, and constantly chasing clout. At this stage, authorities have not found the person who did this. However, the good news is that with some polish, they should be able to get rid of the vandalism. Regardless, they shouldn't have to deal with all of this mess, in the first place.
