Darnell Nurse is a defenseman on the Edmonton Oilers who has proven to be polarizing thanks to his contract and his play on the ice.

Nurse can be inconsistent and it has led some Oilers fans to get incredibly frustrated. Meanwhile, others simply don't care so much as they know that he can be great when he wants to be. Unfortunately, there were times when he was a liability in the Stanley Cup Finals, but that is neither here nor there.
Most recently, Nurse was lit up online thanks to his latest Instagram post in which he posed with some Minions and promoted the movie Despicable Me 4. It was a bit cringy and as some fans noted, he may have violated a crucial social media law.
Whenever you are sponsored by someone or something, you have to disclose when you are posting an ad. In this instance, Nurse did not do that. Of course, to anyone with any sense, it is pretty obvious that it is a paid post. If you were duped, that is on you. However, the fact remains that placing "#ad" on these kinds of posts is a necessity and he simply failed to that. Only time will tell whether or not he rectifies this, or faces any minor consequences.
