Brad Marchand makes miraculous recovery after undergoing three crucial surgeries
has been a leader on the Boston Bruins for many years now and while he is getting up there in age, he can still be exceptionally productive when healthy.
At the end of last season, it was pretty clear that Marchand was a bit banged up. So much so that according to Bruins reporter Ty Anderson, he had to go through multiple surgeries. These surgeries were no fun and they led to a pretty extensive recovery process.
As for the surgeries in question, Marchand had to get work done on his elbow, his groin, and even his abdomen. The elbow injury had bothered him all of last season while the other two injuries happened late in the Bruins' campaign.
Shockingly, Marchand is fully recovered from these three surgeries. So much so that he will be able to start the season with the team. One would assume that these injuries would completely sink his first couple of months of the year. However, Marchand has worked incredibly hard, and it has most certainly paid off.
The Bruins are a team that is projected to do well next season. That said, they will need to get
Jeremy Swayman signed before getting ahead of themselves. After a second-round exit at the hands of the Florida Panthers, the Bs will be out for revenge.
