As the story goes, Chiles was participating in the individual floor routine competition this past week. Jordan Chiles was originally going to finish fifth, however, her coach challenged the judges' decision, demanding they take difficulty into account. Once the judges took a second look, they awarded Chiles more points, and she took home the bronze.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport then did a further investigation into all of this and found that Chiles' coach had actually put in the challenge after her allotted time. This means that the challenge should have never been accepted, thus putting Chiles back in 5th place. Today, USA Gymnastics revealed just how disappointed they are with this decision.
