Joel Quenneville linked to legendary Canadian NHL Franchise
Joel Quenneville was forced to step down from his role as head coach of the Florida Panthers, back in 2021.
This came after Quenneville was named as part of the Chicago Blackhawks cover-up pertaining to Brad Aldrich and Kyle Beach. However, Quenneville and former Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman have been reinstated. Bowman is now working with the Edmonton Oilers, and Quenneville could be looking for a job.
According to Matt Carlson of The Hockey News, there are four teams that could be perfect for Quenneville. Those teams include the Detroit Red Wings, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Utah HC, and even the Calgary Flames.
The reasoning behind these four teams is simple. All four of these franchises currently have coaches who are on the hot seat. If these coaches get fired, then Quenneville could swoop in to save the day. Only time will tell whether or not he gets back to the NHL.
Which of these teams do you think Quenneville might end up with? Let us know in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
