Trevor Moore receives verdict on low hit against Vincent Desharnais
Kings forward Trevor Moore received the verdict from the NHL players safety committee after he committed a low blow hit to Oilers defenseman Vincent Desharnais.
The play occurred late in the second period when Desharnais Cleared the puck out of his own to which Moore skated straight towards him and committed the low blow. Desharnais Appeared to be shaken up from the hit and he was able to remain in the game even though he looked like he was in considerable pain.
Oiler fans across the league felt that is suspension was guaranteed as this play was not necessary and took to X formerly known as Twitter to air out their anger towards the hit.
In the end, the Oilers had the last laugh as they went on to defeat the kings 7-4 to take game one.
The Kings will need to find a way to be better as Game 2 will be held on April 24th, game time will be at 10:00 PM eastern.
