Milan Lucic's wife files divorce following domestic violence claims
Milan Lucic's wife, Brittany Lucic, has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences," following the recent dropping of domestic violence charges against Milan. The New York Post reported that the papers were filed on Monday.
"The couple tied the knot on July, 19, 2012 and on the papers, according to the court records, Brittany listed their date of separation as Nov. 17, 2023, which is the day before Milan was arrested for allegedly physically abusing his wife during a fight."
The charges against Lucic were dropped in February after Brittany declined to testify against him. In her divorce filing, she has requested full custody of their three children.
"In the documents for divorce, Brittany asked for custody of their three children two daughters and a son and spousal support from Milan.
Their oldest daughter, Valentina, was born in 2013 followed by their second daughter, Nikolina, in 2015. They welcomed their son, Milan Jr., in 2018."
Lucic had returned to the Boston Bruins on a one-year deal for the 2023-24 season, but his stint was short-lived. After playing only four games, the 35-year-old took an indefinite leave of absence.
This departure came as a surprise, as Lucic had started his NHL career with the Bruins and had just returned home. As his contract expires this summer, Lucic faces uncertainty about his future in both his personal and professional life.
