The NHL Has Finally Made a Decision on McAvoys Suspension Appeal
National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman has made a call on Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy's suspension appeal. McAvoy, who was initially suspended for four games due to an illegal hit to the head of Florida Panthers defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson during an October 30 game, will have to serve the full suspension.
The appeal hearing went down on November 7, where McAvoy laid out his case to Commissioner Bettman.
After a close look at all the details and arguments, the decision to keep the four-game suspension has been confirmed. This decision shows the NHL's dedication to player safety and making sure the rules on the ice are consistently enforced.
