Surprising team emerge as the favorite to acquire Matt Dumba
When Matt Dumba became an unrestricted free agent on July 1st many expected him to quickly find a new home. After spending his entire career with the Minnesota Wild, fans assumed he'd have no trouble finding a new home. But with the calendar about to turn to August, Dumba remains without a home.
According to Remy Mastey of The Hockey News, Dumba might not be without a home for long. Mastey is currently reporting that the Arizona Coyotes have emerged as the favorites to land the defender.
The Coyotes and Matt Dumba rumors continue to swirl as the #Yotes are reportedly the favorites to acquire the veteran defenseman.
Dumba, 29, was selected 7th overall and has spent his entire career with the Wild. In 79 games last year Dumba or scored 4 goals and added 10 assists.
Hopefully for Dumba's sake he can lock down a deal sooner than later.
