Minnesota Wild Head Coach Dean Evason was not happy with the team's loss to the Maple Leafs last night, and called out one veteran player specifically for a mistake that lead to the result.

Evason spoke with reporters following Minnesota's 7-4 loss to Toronto, and said a penalty called against Alex Goligoski altered the momentum of the game, as Minnesota was rallying back from a 3-1 deficit.
"Momentum was clearly in our direction and then obviously they get a power play. They didn't score, but they gain momentum from it. They had a lot of good touches on it. And then we were behind the eight ball. Can't happen. You can't take (a) stupid really stupid bad penalty and Goose knows it. We addressed it, but it can't happen. Can't happen in Game 2 and it can't happen moving forward."

After the game, Goligoski admitted he yelled at a referee to «make a fking call» when he felt a Leaf got away with something. The referee obliged, but directed towards Goligoski with a two minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Evason also wasn't particularly happy with the play from his defense core, with the exception one rookie, Brock Faber.
"Brock Faber can't be our best player every night. It's wonderful that he is, but we really need other people stepping up in Spurgey's (Jared Spurgeon) absence."
