Calgary Flames Assistant General Manager suffers medical emergency
Chris Snow has been an inspiration to the hockey world since being diagnosed with ALS. Snow has publicly battled both ALS and battling cancer, and the Calgary Flames Assistant General Manager has always had a smile on his face. Despite battling obstacles that most people won't understand, Snow has always been a positive influence.
Snow has been very public with his struggles and health issues becoming an inspiration to anyone who has battled ALS. Unfortunately today Chris' wife Kelsie took to Twitter to share a heartbreaking update.
With a shattered heart I've come to share that yesterday Chris became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics and doctors were able to get his heart beating again but, devastatingly, a scan showed Chris has suffered a catastrophic brain injury caused by lack of oxygen. His doctors do not expect him to wake up from this. My chest feels cracked open and hollowed out. Chris is the most beautiful, brilliant person I'll ever know and doing life without him feels untenable. Hug your people.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Snow Family.
