After an offseason full of hard news from the hockey sphere, fans are looking forward to the NHL's return. Unfortunately, even more bad news has shattered hockey fans. Earlier today, the Anaheim Ducks announced the passing of former player, Nicolas Kerdiles.
We're heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning. An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.
Kerdiles was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round of the 2017 NHL draft, going 36th overall, showcasing his high pedigree. However, he only played 3 games with the Ducks before retiring from hockey early in his career in 2019.
Our thoughts and prayers go out too the Kerdiles family and anyone impacted by his passing.
