Another member of the HNIC panel reveals his status for next season amid termination rumours
Last week, there was a report from Toronto writer and former radio personality Howard Berger that the Hockey Night in Canada crew could be let go this summer in favour of wholesale changes to the panel on the program. That was debunked this week when host Ron MacLean announced that he'd be back with HNIC next season. Now it appears as though another panel member is also returning.
Former defenseman turned analyst, Kevin Bieksa, was one of the key members of the panel that were rumoured not to be returning to the popular Saturday night staple. Bieksa revealed on social media on Tuesday that he would indeed be returning, along with MacLean.
Fellow panel members in Jennifer Botterill and Kelly Hrudey have yet to make a similar announcement, but as of right now, we at least know that MacLean and Bieksa will be there every Saturday night.
Bieksa joined the Hockey Night in Canada team back in 2020 and has become one of the more popular panelists on the show, given all of the experience he was able to bank over a long NHL career.
