Nick Suzuki reveals how he really feels about Patrik Laine
Patrik Laine is set to begin his first season with the Montreal Canadiens, and fans are interested to see if he will be on his best behavior.
Laine will be led by Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki, who was actually on the ice with Laine recently. In a piece for NHL.com, Suzuki revealed how Laine is doing and whether or not he was in good spirits. Overall, the comments should be positive for Habs fans.
"I've had the chance to skate with him over the last week and he's in good spirits. He seems to be in a good mindset which is great.
I think he's really excited to get it going with us."
Suzuki also gave a prediction on what Laine is thinking right now. Based on the Habs captain's opinion, it would see as though Laine is all about getting back to playing. His motivations seem clear and that can only be a good thing for the future of the Canadiens.
"I don't think he's skated too much over the last six, seven months, so I think he's really enjoyed being back out there with the guys and getting to work. It's been fun to get to know him a little bit."
