Leon Draisaitl takes his bromance with Connor McDavid to the next level
Leon Draisaitl signed a huge eight-year deal worth $14 million AAV this past week and fans of the Edmonton Oilers are very excited.
Overall, this is a huge deal for the team because it means they will have one of their best players for nine more seasons. Furthermore, with McDavid expected to re-sign next Summer, the Oilers will be able to prosper for seasons to come. There are plenty of reasons to celebrate in Edmonton right now, even if you may have lost the Stanley Cup Finals.
Now, it is being reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet that Draisaitl has taken his friendship with McDavid to the next level. In fact, this is one of those steps that solidifies the fact that these two will be teammates for the long haul.
Essentially, Draisaitl bought a home that is close to McDavid's offseason home. Now, they will be able to hang out together and even train together during the offseason. Some may find this to be a tad "extra" although it just goes to show that these two titans just want to win hockey games.
