As we reported earlier this week, Kane has no interest in being put on Long Term Injured Reserve. Furthermore, he has no interest in waiving his no-trade clause. At the time of our report, the situation seemed dire. Although things have seemingly changed.
According to 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast, Kane is going to be ready to go by the start of the season. Moreover, LTIR just simply isn't in the cards, nor is it necessary right now. However, the most interesting revelation here had to do with the two teams who want to go after Kane if he's available.
Those teams would be the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks. That said, it was made clear that Kane and his family are committed to remaining in Edmonton for at least the next two years. Overall, it seems unlikely that Kane will change his mind and waive his no-trade clause.
Do you foresee Evander Kane changing his mind and waiving his no-trade clause? Let us know in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
