Evander Kane breaks his silence following major surgery
Evander Kane is a player who has been tremendously helpful towards the Edmonton Oilers' cause, however, injuries have certainly hampered him quite a bit.
As many already know, he was injured quite a bit throughout the Stanley Cup finals. Overall, it was hard for him to hit the ice, and fans were very concerned about what this would mean for the following season. Now, training camp is finally here, and there is much more clarity on what is wrong with Kane.
He recently revealed that he was suffering from a sports hernia and tears in his abdomen. This would require surgery and there was no telling when he would be able to come back to the roster. The good news is, he just had surgery, and it was successful.
"Successful surgery, long road ahead but very grateful for my amazing surgeons and nurses
This should be music to the ears of Oilers fans. Now, Kane will get to recover and in a few weeks, he will met with his doctors to discuss comeback plans. For now, however, the Oilers will just have to continue their training camp without his services.
Only time will tell when he finds himself back on the ice. Stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for all of the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
