Connor Bedard could get these two Maple Leafs superstars as teammates in 2025
Overall, the Chicago Blackhawks are in a rebuild and they are currently trying to put pieces around their superstar first-overall pick, Connor Bedard.
At the end of the 2024-25 season, there will be plenty of unrestricted free agents to try and go after. According to Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, the Blackhawks plan on being incredibly active. In fact, there are a couple of Toronto Maple Leads superstars that they are interested in. Those superstars being John Tavares and Mitch Marner.
"With Mitch Marner, Brock Boeser, Nikolaj Ehlers, John Tavares, Shea Theodore, and Aaron Ekblad among the players slated for unrestricted free agency next summer, just as players such as Oliver Moore and Levshunov are ready to break into the NHL for good, things could get interesting very quickly." As we reported earlier today, Marner is already being placed in trade rumors. However, it was also reported that Marner and Tavares would like to come back to the Maple Leads. That said, if something does go wrong, then the Blackhawks may think about swooping in.
Do you believe Connor Bedard can get either Tavares or Marner as a teammate next season? Let us know in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
