Whether you're cheering him on or wishing he'd tone it down, Jack Edwards has been a fixture with the Boston Bruins and NESN for almost two decades. With the news of his upcoming retirement at the end of this year's playoffs, the Bruins paid tribute to him before facing off against the Ottawa Senators yesterday.

Edwards has earned a reputation for his passionate support of the Bruins, making him a hero to their fans and a target for others.

Over the years, his style has become part of the game's fabric, but lately, his performance has shown signs of slowing down. Still, as he heads into one final postseason, he's getting the recognition he deserves.

It's clear that stepping away isn't an easy decision for Edwards, but he knows it's the right one given his recent struggles. Despite his reluctance, it's time for him to pass the microphone.

Best wishes on your retirement, Mr. Edwards. You've certainly earned your time off.
