Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins are currently in a pretty bad contract dispute that is not getting any better right now.

As many of you already know, Swayman is looking for $10 million per year. However, the Bruins are lowballing him right now. Swayman wants eight years, and the Bruins want something much shorter. This has put the two at odds, and now, we have some new key details that make all of this that much worse.
Ryan Whitney of Spittin Chiclets came out and leaked the Bruins' offer to Swayman. According to Whitney, the Bruins only offered him a four-year deal at just over $6 million per year. Needless to say, it is much weaker than what Swayman has been hoping for.
"Current Swayman offer from the Bruins. 4 years x $6.2 million (per year)." Whitney said. "And apparently, the Bruins have not contacted or returned Swayman's calls in three weeks. Now, I'm running with a source here. You can say I'm ridiculous. You could say I'm making things up. I am not. I am running with the source. And if their offer is four years x $6.2 million, after you traded your other stud goalie, that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. That's insane. That's crazy. That is not even close."

If this is true, then the Boston Bruins are completely out to lunch. Swayman is a phenomenal goaltender, and he is worth a lot more than what Boston is offering. Hopefully, for Bruins fans, they will be able to get this figured out sooner rather than later. Otherwise, disaster might strike.
