Shocking Move Sends Thompson Packing To Contending Team
The New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils shook things up with a trade announcement today.
In a recent deal, the New York Islanders acquired Tyce Thompson from the New Jersey Devils, sending Arnaud Durandeau the other way.
The trade was confirmed by various sources, marking an exchange where the Islanders welcome Tyce, the brother of superstar Tage Thompson. Tyce has notched 5 points in 15 AHL games this season. In return, the Devils gain Arnaud Durandeau, who boasts 4 points in 12 AHL games.
Both 24-year-old forwards will have the chance for a fresh start with their new teams, and their performance in the opportunities ahead will ultimately determine the winner of this trade.
