Western Conference Stanley Cup Contender Shows Interest in Phil Kessel
Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal has revealed that the team is showing interest in unrestricted free agent and NHL's Ironman, Phil Kessel.
Dhaliwal shared earlier today Canucks are «poking around» Phil Kessel.
Additionally, Dhaliwal mentioned that Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet had positive remarks about Kessel over the past weekend.
Tocchet and Kessel have a history together, having won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017. Tocchet's influence on Kessel's performance during their time together in Pittsburgh earned him the nickname 'Phil Whisperer.'
Given their mutual respect and successful partnership, a reunion between the two in Vancouver could be on the horizon. Stay tuned for further updates.
