Wednesday has some stark revelations for the NHL and it's fans, as the Arizona Coyotes situation remains in flux.

The team may up and leave Arizona for the pastures of Salt Lake City, Utah before the 2024-2025 season begins.

Nothing remains official, according to NHL Insider Elliote Friedman but the relocation could occur as soon as April 18th. Just one day after the team's final game for the 2023-2024 season.

If the team were to relocate, the NHL could choose to keep the team in the Central Division, once the relocation to Salt Lake City is complete. However, according to Adrian Dater, there may be two Canadian teams affected as a result.

Two current Pacific Division teams in the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers may have to move from the Pacific to the Central Division next season, according to Adrian Dater and the rumors he's heard.

"Hearing that IF Coyotes move to Salt Lake, that Avs MIGHT make a move to Pacific Division with new SLC team and Oilers and Flames might move to Central. A rumor, at this point" Dater said.

The move would be a common-sense move for all teams involved, with Travel being the biggest obstacle for them all. It would also mean the Pacific Division would gain Nathan MacKinnon, the Colorado Avalanche, and would continue to remain competitive, with the Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Kings being the top teams remaining.
