Stephen Peat's tragic cause of death has been revealed
Former Washington Capitals enforcer Stephen Peat passed away this past week at the age of 44, and many throughout the hockey world are in mourning.
The enforcer was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks before being traded to the Capitals. It was with Washington where he found his stride and was able to play 130 games with the team. Unfortunately, following his hockey career, he fell on hard times and even became homeless.
Following his passing, fans became curious as to how he passed away. Today, it was revealed by Elliotte Friedman that he passed away from injuries sustained after being hit by a car.
The unfortunate incident took place in Langley, British Columbia back on August 30th, about two weeks ago. This is truly awful, and we cannot imagine what his loved one must be going through.
This is unfortunate news and our heart goes out to the Peat family during this very difficult time. We hope those who are affected by this tragedy are able to find peace as they maneuver all of this.
Rest in Peace, Stephen Peat.
