NHL's most hated player Nick Cousins finally signs with a new team

Nick Cousins is coming off of a Stanley Cup-winning season with the Florida Panthers, however, for the entire summer, he has been a free agent.
At this stage, fans have been wondering if a team would even take a chance on him. He was voted as the most hated player in the league with the most punchable face. Mostly, this is because he is seen as a dirty player who will do anything to make life hell for his opponents. However, others like him because of his gritty style of play that can help you win hockey games.
Today, it was revealed that Cousins is a free agent no longer. He was just signed by the Ottawa Senators on a 1-year deal that is worth a whopping $800K. Nothing to write home about, but $800K is still a lot more than the average person makes.
Cousins' production slowed to a crawl last season as he only had seven goals and eight assists in 69 games. This production is ultimately why he was a free agent for so long. However, he now has an opportunity to start fresh with the Senators and earn his next deal in the Summer of 2025.
