Late last night, Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau were killed near Salem, New Jersey after a drunk driver hit them as they were cycling.

The man has since been identified as Sean Higgins. He was arrested on the scene, and according to the New York Post, it was revealed that he had five or six beers prior to getting into his car. Drunk driving is one of the most selfish acts you can do, as it ruins the lives of so many.

However, in court today, Higgins didn't seem to care. His court hearing was over a Zoom call, and he seemed to be completely exasperated with the fact that he cannot post any bail until next Thursday.

Higgins showed no remorse and let out a huge sigh after the judge explained to him that he can only be released 72 hours after the long weekend is officially over. In a video that can be watched down below, Higgins leans back in his chair and almost rolls his eyes at the judge. The hearing was exceptionally quick, and now, Higgins will have to spend at least six days in a cell while he thinks about the wrong choices he made.

If convicted, he could face 20 years in prison. He is facing charges of driving under the influence and death by auto.

Our heart goes out to the Gaudreau family during this horrific time. We hope they are able to get the support they need following this awful tragedy that has affected so many people.
