Jeff Marek was fired by Sportsnet shortly after the NHL Draft as some believe that Marek was allegedly leaking draft pick information to a friend who just so happens to be a scout.

Many are looking for answers, although Sportsnet has not provided any. In the interim, the network has been looking for Marek's replacement for Elliotte Friedman's 32 Thoughts. This is their biggest hockey podcast, and there has been a lot of anticipation for a new co-host. At the end of the day, Sportsnet needs to get this one right.
Well, this morning, the network announced that Kyle Bukauskas will now be taking the job. Bukauskas has been with the network for quite some time, so it makes sense that he would be given such a promotion. We wish him nothing but the best in this new role.
Overall, fans are not too happy with this news. Of course, it has nothing to do with Bukauskas and his abilities as a broadcaster. Instead, it simply has to do with just how beloved Marek was. Fans believe his firing was unjust, and they would like some in-depth answers as to what went down. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the show operates, moving forward.
