Jaromir Jagr breaks unbelievable record held by Gordie Howe
Jaromir Jagr, the hockey legend, has added another feather to his cap by breaking a remarkable record previously held by Gordie Howe.
Fresh off the heels of having his jersey retired in Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena, Jagr wasted no time hitting the ice again.
Last night, Jagr achieved a milestone by becoming the oldest player to compete in a professional league, at 52 years and 63 days old, surpassing the esteemed Gordie Howe, who last played at 52 years and 11 days.
While Howe's legacy is tied to the NHL, Jagr has been making waves in Czechia, representing Kladno.
Adding to his remarkable feat, Jagr didn't just play; he scored a goal in his very first shift of the game. Talk about making an impact!
"52-year old Jaromir Jagr is back in the Czech Republic after his trip to Pittsburgh, and scored on his *first* shift 🚨🍷"
"Jaromir Jagr is playing today for his @RytiriKladno. Will become the oldest "professional" player to play in a profi league. He is 52 years and 63 days old.
Gordie Howe was 52 years and 11 days when finishing his NHL career.
And Jagr just scored a goal in @telhcz !!!"
