The Blackhawks fan base was excited to know that in October the team would have Taylor Hall alongside Connor Bedard for this season. But after a severe injury that has kept him away, Hall opens up about his disappointing season.

«It's been a difficult year. I had high hopes for me individually this year and for our team to take a better step than we did. That didn't happen. But I'm trying to do my best to use this time to refresh mentally.»

Hall's season was cut short in late November when he suffered a knee injury that has kept him out for the bulk of the season. This certainly set back the Blackhawks as they were expecting him to be a pivotal piece on their top 6 and to bring leadership to Connor Bedard as he began his new career.

Having only played ten games this season, he was only able to amass two goals and two assists for four points. For his career, he had played 832 games with 266 goals and 431 assists for 697 points.

It's clear that Hall is willing to turn the page on this season as he prepares for the off season an recuperates his mental and physical strength as he prepares for another NHL year. In the final game of this year, the Blackhawks have decided not to play Hall as he has not been cleared for contact.
