Jake Oettinger makes save without ever touching the puck
Jake Oettinger made the most fortunate save of the series as the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers squared off in a crucial Game 4.
In the first period, with the score at 2-2, Jake Oettinger put him in a situation that no goalie likes to be in. Oettinger fumbled his stick tracking the puck with the Edmonton Oilers closing in. The Oilers persisted in their onslaught with his goal stick in his back.
When Connor McDavid tips the puck on goal, Oettinger is easily defeated. The puck, though, makes touch with the goal stick just as it appears to be sliding into the net and somehow escapes.
After the 1st period the game was tied at 2. With the Stars leading the series 2-1, this is a very important game for the Oilers.
