Former 1st Round Pick Has Been Claimed Off Waivers By Surprising Team
The Montreal Canadiens have made a significant move today by picking up Colin White off waivers, as reported by Elliotte Friedman. The former first-round draft pick, who has had a challenging time securing his place in the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup this season, is now headed to Montreal.
"MON claims Colin White,"
Friedman announced, marking a fresh start for White.
His career began with the Ottawa Senators, where he spent the initial years, before a stint in Florida last season. This year, he started with the Penguins and will now attempt to establish himself with the Canadiens.
Despite participating in only 11 games for Pittsburgh this season without registering a point, White's career totals stand at 44 goals and 69 assists, accumulating 113 points over 303 NHL games.
