The Edmonton Oilers appear to be dissatisfied with the way some of their players were handled both inside the penalty box and at Rogers Arena. A report claims that the Oilers complained to the NHL over a pair that many hockey fans would recognize.
The Green Men were expected to be a one-time event, but they showed up for the Edmonton Oilers' home opener against the Vancouver Canucks in the second round of the playoffs. Holding signs, the two tried their hardest to get in the faces of Oilers players seated in the penalty box.
According to The Daily Hive, The Edmonton Oilers' complaint deal with a specific sign aimed at Evander Kane. The Green Men told the Daily Hive that security warned them not to use the sign again, which made reference to Kane's past gambling problems.
According to Rick Dhaliwal, The Green Men were prohibited from playing in any more games in round two due to an Oilers complaint; however, if the Canucks advanced, there might be a chance to play in round three.
If the Green Men had decided not to get so personal in their pranks, they probably would have been okay. There's no information on whether Kane requested the complaint to be filed or if the decision was made as a group.
